About Oliver Reservoir

Oliver Reservoir lies eight miles west of Kimball on Hwy. 30, is a prime example of a Natural Resources District multi-function facility.

Owned and operated by SPNRD, the 917-acre property features a 264-acre lake (at full conservation pool) originally designed as an irrigation impoundment on Lodgepole Creek. Through years of service it helped feed irrigated crops, caught the waters of dangerous floods and provided many recreational opportunities.

While years of drought made flood control less of a concern, it still stands ready to meet the uncertain demands of western Nebraska weather potential.
